The Virtual Sunglasses Workshop 2020: All Eyes On... Recovery was held on 14 October at 1700hrs at the Sunglasses Zone of the Exhibition Hub, during the inaugural Virtual Travel Retail Expo 2020.

The virtual workshop, themed ‘All Eyes On… Recovery’, spotlighted on the category’s role, evolution and new solutions in the travel retail channel in the post-COVID-19 landscape. It also included a summary of the Sunglasses Retailer Survey, which was shared by Alex Cook, Co-Founder & Managing Director of FILTR.

The workshop focused on providing thought-leadership and debate on the important role that the sunglasses category can play in the recovery of the channel, and was produced by integrated design and communications agency FILTR and moderated by Dermot Davitt, President & Editorial Director of The Moodie Davitt Report. To simulate a live event, audience participation was also encouraged through Q&A and real-time attendee polls.

To further facilitate interaction in the virtual space, attendees were encouraged to participate in the Virtual Sunglasses Photobooth located within the suite, where they could stand a chance to win a pair of sunglasses from one of the suppliers.
